Angela Kaiser Hansen graduated with her undergraduate degree in 1988 from Saint Francis Xavier and then went on to Dalhousie University for her Master’s of Audiology, graduating in 1990. She began working at The Moncton hospital in 1990 and remains working there today on a part time basis. She opened her own private practice, The Sussex Audiological center for the hearing Impaired Inc, in 1995 in Sussex . Angela is married and lives in Penobsquis with her husband, who also works at the practice, and their 3 children.
Chris Hansen is an electrician by trade and joined the business in 2002 working under an apprentice program towards his board certification in Hearing Instrument Science. Chris wrote and passed his exam in 2004 making him a board certified hearing instrument specialist. Chris travels to nursing homes in the area providing fitting and maintenance of hearing aids for their residents. Chris enjoys a challenge fitting hearing aids and modifying shells and earmolds. The Center is equipped with a UV curing station to enable modifications of shells and earmolds.
Carla joined the center in November 2006 as our office manager and patient co-ordinator. She is responsible for booking as well as orders and invoicing. She has continued to broaden her scope of practice with cleaning and small repairs of hearing aids for walk in clients. Carla is originally from Sussex and adds that home town feel knowing clients and their families.
